Elasticsearch Engineer with Magento Expertise

JOB SUMMARY

SnapMart Inc. is looking for an experienced Elasticsearch Engineer with a strong background in Magento to optimize and enhance our ecommerce platform's search capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Elasticsearch, Magento, and related technologies, ensuring efficient and effective search functionality for our storefront application.

• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and Manage Elasticsearch:

Design, implement, and improve our platform's Search capabilities using Elasticsearch to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability to match business requirements.

• Monitor and troubleshoot Elasticsearch-related issues, optimizing configurations for high availability and efficient resource utilization.

• Magento Integration:

Collaborate with Magento developers and Product Managers to improve the current Elasticsearch implementation seamlessly into the platform.

• Enhance search functionality and improve overall user experience.

• Performance Optimization:

Conduct performance analysis and optimization of Elasticsearch queries to enhance search speed and accuracy.

• Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the Magento-Elasticsearch integration.

• Collaboration and Documentation:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, Product Managers, and business analysts.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Elasticsearch configurations, integrations, and best practices.

• JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience:

Proven experience working with Elasticsearch in a production environment.

• In-depth knowledge of the Magento e-commerce platform.

Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., PHP) for customizing and extending Elasticsearch functionality.

• Familiarity with search relevance algorithms, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
