Job Description
Safety Program Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and raise awareness of best practices.
Risk Assessment And Hazard Control
Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate workplace hazards, including physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic risks.
Recommend and implement control measures to mitigate identified hazards and minimize the risk of accidents and occupational illnesses.
Monitor and review incident reports to identify trends and proactively address safety concerns.
Training And Education
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, focusing on topics such as emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
Ensure that all employees receive appropriate safety induction and ongoing training relevant to their roles.
Promote safety awareness and provide guidance on compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHS regulations, including the timely submission of required reports and documentation to regulatory authorities.
Keep abreast of updates to occupational health and safety laws and standards and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization.
Emergency Response And Incident Investigation
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for various workplace scenarios, including fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.
Lead or participate in incident investigations to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of workplace incidents.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Safety Officer accreditation from the DOLE is required.
In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards in the Philippines.
Proven experience in implementing safety programs and conducting risk assessments within a workplace setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
Certification in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), or Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a plus.
