Pag-asa Steel seeks a Draftsman/Detailer who will be responsible for documenting and revising engineering drawings for new equipment or facilities expansion and renovation in accordance with the accepted company standards.
- Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Attending to reproduction and issuance of drawings, plans, and technical information requested by user
- Preparing and modifying existing drawings or plans as necessary based on guidelines
Preparing and writing drawings or plans specifications- Preparing estimates, bill of materials, and quantity take-offs
Inspecting, coordinating, and monitoring or supervising civil works construction as instructed
- Verifying and installing markings to locate building and machinery
Checking and reviewing progress billing of contractors- Monitoring, recording, and updating daily records
Performing other related tasks that may be assigned by supervisor
- Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
Preferred candidates will exhibit the following:
- Vocational, trade school graduate (CAD/CAM, or Mechanical Engineering Technology), or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant prior experience
At least one (1) to two (2) years experience of engineering drafting in manufacturing or industrial set-up
- Experience in the use and application of measuring tools and instruments preferred
Knowledge of interpreting blueprints and standard engineering drawing symbols- knowledge of AutoCAD 3D preferred
Knowledge of orthographic and isometric drawing
- Knowledge of mechanical fits, tolerances (+, -), and surface finish
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Good communication and time management skills
Service orientation, outstanding interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task, adapt, and learn quickly
Superior organization skills and attention to detail- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), email software and AutoCAD mandatory, experience with ERP software a plus
