Job Title: Director of Finance
Location: Manila, on-site.
Founded in 1989, Unis LLC has grown into a majority, nationally recognized Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL) in the US. From humble beginnings with just a few trucks operating in Southern California, Unis has expanded into all major US markets, impacting the successful flow of commerce with superior technology, smarter supply chains, and faster execution.
With the expansion of the business, Unis is seeking a Finance Director, who will be a driven, independent, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual that will help a rapidly growing company manage and scale its accounting system, process, and controls in Philippine. Reporting to the VP of finance in the US, the Finance Director will be responsible for setting up the Philippine accounting team as the back office for all the US companies, all the daily accounting works including AR, AP, P&L, Balance Sheet, and will oversee all month close activities for all subsidiaries, consolidations, and financial reviews. The Finance Director will manage all accounting transactions, work with the VP of finance to implement process improvements, financials planning and analysis and support senior management to drive change and positively impact the day-to-day business operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- To build up the Philippine accounting team to support all the US companies, recruit, train, and develop teams for daily accounting functions/ operations
- Directly manage over 20 overseas subsidiaries accounting works.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports.
- Prepare required documents for any CPA/Bank audits if needed.
- To improve the financial process and accounting policy, perform proper internal control.
- Involve in the company business analytical review, provide financial and budgeting support.
- Create and maintain proper workflow and SOP for the department.
- Work with IT team to continuously improve our ERP and accounting system
- Filing and other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Proficiency in English communication is a must.
- Must have advanced adaptability in new IT technology, including, AI/operation/ERP/bank/Finance system.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Managed a team for more than 50 people.
- Experience to build up a team from scratch will be highly preferred.
- Must have more than 10 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Experience with Logistic/Trucking business will be highly preferred
- Experience with Netsuite will be highly preferred, Microsoft Great Plain-GP is preferred as well.
