We are seeking an experienced Leader to spearhead our automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement in our processes. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision to streamline our development processes, enhance collaboration between development and operations teams, ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems, and provide effective operational support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in a DevOps leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading DevOps initiatives, teams, and operational support functions.
Strong technical background in software development, infrastructure management, and cloud technologies.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
SKILLS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Support Leadership:
o Provide leadership and direction for operational support teams, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and effective communication with stakeholders.
o Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for operational support activities, and continuously monitor and improve support processes.
o Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to facilitate proactive issue detection and resolution.
Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and communicate a clear DevOps strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive automation improvements with the operations processes.
o Champion a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Team Management:
o Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers and Infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
o Drive cross-functional collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders.
o Collaborate with the teams to ensure the smooth operation of applications hosted in AWS, providing guidance and support as needed.
Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):
o Automate build, test, and deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
o Monitor CI/CD pipelines and implement improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
Monitoring and Incident Response:
o Establish and maintain robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the timely detection and resolution of issues in our hosting environment.
o Develop incident response processes and procedures to ensure timely resolution of incidents and minimize downtime.
o Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Trend Analysis and Reporting:
o Conduct trend analysis on system performance, incidents, and operational metrics to identify patterns, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
o Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to processes and systems.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to derive insights from data and drive data-driven decision-making to optimize processes and enhance system reliability.
Documentation
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures. Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions for team members to ensure proficiency in AWS technologies and best practices.
Team Management and Development:
o Lead and mentor a team of cloud infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
o Develop and execute training programs to enhance the technical skills and expertise of team members.
