Description
The Role
This role requires taking both responsibility for the build, release and support of our products as well as hosting these and third-party applications in IAAS and PAAS platforms in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
While part of a wider team engaging in the same activities, this role is focused on supporting our development communities based in the Asia Pacific region.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- To oversee and/or facilitate code releases or deployments on a CI/CD basis.
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure.
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes (process re-engineering).
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes (including separation of duties) and works as intended.
- Creating Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines in order to automate as many MACD activities as possible.
- Identifying technical problems and resolving within operating level agreements.
- Monitor and maintain cloud-based infrastructure including change, backup, disaster recovery and reporting (including consumption, financial management and audit).
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats and permissions are applied on a principle of least privilege or just in time basis.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Microsoft Azure Certifications are desirable ideally Administrator and/or DevOps.
- Experience with IT Infrastructure systems and operations.
- Experience in coding or scripting languages.
- Data, Network and Security management skills and concepts.
- A strong focus on business outcomes and comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
