Job Overview

WB tech Financial Markets & Group Treasury is responsible for the IT environment that enables the most crucial commercial activities of ING: Trading, Risk Management, and Liquidity Management.

Competitive Service area delivers best in class highly specialized technology platform to FM> users while anticipating on future needs. It responsible for the reliability and stability of applications, connections and servers while making sure that all assets follow the IT Risk Minimum Standards.

IT Ops Engineer plays a pivotal role in the IT support of various Financial Markets business applications related to FX and MM confirmations. He or she supports the banks Back Office Operations teams based in Manila, Amsterdam and other offices in the region. Focus will be on daily support and Incident/Problem management. Working in EU time zone and weekend work is expected.

Key Responsibilities

Provision of 2nd level functional and technical support for Matching Application, interfaces, and underlying IT Infrastructure(MQ, Network, Linux and Windows).
Manage inhouse development tool in Java and JMS.
Ensure incidents are resolved with SLA and provide timely escalation of unresolved issues to Team Head and/or L3 support.
Flexible to work in Shifts. Support coverage from 09:00 SGT till 18:00 CET.
Stand by availability after support hours.
Manage communications with users, vendor and other teams during major incidents & problem management.
Ensure thorough root causes analysis are being carry out for major incidents and recurring incidents.
Working on private cloud capabilities including monitoring, software updating, and management of product line.
Analyse user requirements, develop and deploy solutions that meet the requirements.
Provide End-users training where required.
To conduct / Review regular health check, Standard Operational Procedures, preventive maintenance on applications, interfaces and underlying infrastructure.
Ensure that the Bank's relevant regulatory procedures and controls are adhered to Maintain, support, participate and schedule regular testing of BCP/DR plans.
Implement change requests for small to medium functional/non-functional modifications.
Execute patches and upgrade of infra and/or applications.
We expect you to be responsible and take ownership. Be open, honest, communicate clearly (in scrum ceremonies and outside) and most importantly be eager to learn and proactively improve, yourself, the chapter you oversee and the ecosystem around you.

Key Capabilities/Experience

Over 3 years of experience in supporting applications in a fast pace and demanding environment.
Hands on experience and thorough knowledge of relevant technologies like Windows Server, Linux server and MQ.
Functional knowledge of FXMM trading and especially the confirmation matching process.
Hands-on experience with Java and JMS.
Knowledge and understanding of Financial Markets , SWIFT messages, FXMM trade flows including MT messages and TOF.
Knowledge and understanding of non-Financial (IT risk )topics as identity & access management, platform security, security monitoring etc.
ITIL V3 certification is a pro (incident, problem, change management).
Preferably experience with Agile, SCRUM and DevOps ways of working.
A friendly, consultative and Can Do attitude to address client needs.
Integrity, analytical mind, and multi-tasking skills, with good follow-through on client's services requests fulfilments.
Delivery oriented - used to meeting strict deadlines, while producing quality work.
Exposure to CI/CD pipeline ETL, modern stack (Azure/ AWS/Docker/Kubernetes etc), Logstash, Prometheus, Kibana.
