Job Functions:- Ensuring overall system and server uptime, availability, reliability, and security.
Identifying technical problems and provide support on resolving issues.- Perform procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Deploy updates and fixes as necessary.
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve internal/external customer experience.
Perform root cause analysis or investigation for production related errors / problems / incidents.- Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and activities as intended.
Perform and document updates and configuration of the platforms.
- Coordinate support for virtual private cloud (VPC), databases, OS, applications, hardware, and Networking where applicable.
Ensure tools and/or systems infrastructure are correctly setup based on infrastructure and security configuration.- Manage, review and address compliance to internal and external requirements.
Manage schedules and resources to meet objectives of assigned tasks.
- Ensure responsive and consistent delivery of quality services to internal and external customers.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with users and establish their needs and advise them on the suitability of his unit's services.- Ensure compliance to Unit's and/or company's processes, guidelines, and policies.
Recommend changes, policies, or projects beneficial to IT Operations and/or to company in general.
- Participate actively in the review of policy, process and technical designs produced for company system operations services.
Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.- Provide technical guidance to project teams or other business units.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration.
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Working knowledge of cloud, virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.
Working knowledge of databases and SQL.- Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
Possess good analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
Experience with scripting and automation tools are a plus.- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus.
