Job Description:
The Design Manager is responsible for managing the activities of the design team from planning and development of construction documents to overseeing construction operations, as well as ensuring team performance and development.
Key Responsibilities:
The Design Manager oversees the design team's activities from planning through construction, ensuring compliance with design criteria and standards. Responsibilities include leading complex design development, conducting risk assessments, coordinating with clients, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely submissions. The role also involves researching design options, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with MEPF for system design evaluation. Additionally, the Design Manager manages team performance, enforces standards, develops processes, and fosters a positive departmental culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
Extensive experience in design management within construction.- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
