We are seeking a Design Manager (Leader of Design Department) who will be responsible for overseeing our design department and ensuring that our customers receive the best quality designs on a timely basis.
The role involves managing and guiding a team of designers, handling orders, resolving issues, and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction, speed and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, manage, and supervise a team of designers.
- Develop and implement designer SOP's and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze each designer's performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor team members on effective design techniques and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive customer experience.
- Provide regular reports on design activities and outcomes to senior management.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging customer service trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a design department leadership role, in an e-commerce environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Proficient in design software and design systems (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and preferrably also Midjourney)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging customer situations.
- Able to work full-time (40 hours a week)
- Strong internet connection (important during Zoom Calls)
