Job description for Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) in Food Production
The Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) is a skilled and experienced member of the kitchen team within the Food Production department of a casino. They work under the guidance of senior kitchen staff and are responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food products. The DCDP is also responsible for supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and plating of food products, ensuring that recipes and specifications are followed accurately.
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate with senior kitchen staff to ensure proper ordering and receiving of supplies.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior kitchen staff.
- Assist with the development and creation of new menu items.
- Ensure that all food products are cooked and presented to the highest quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff.
- Attend training sessions to learn new skills and improve existing ones.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- years of experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Completion of a culinary arts program or equivalent experience and education.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Availability to work flexible schedules.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up topounds.
