Duties and Responsibilities- Server Health Monitoring and Maintenance
Report customization as needed (Solarwinds)
- Ensure accessibility and connectivity of applications
Monitor CPU, Memory and Disk utilizations
Monitor backups, tape drives, media tapes, and media serves
- Netbackup / Quantum Library
Monitor firmware/application upgrades- Conduct extensive troubleshooting
Ensure replenishment of media tapes in libraries
- Ensure restoration of requests
Monitor EMC storage
Ensure vendor coordination on service and maintenance
Ensure server provision of VMware and physical server (OS installation to server hardening)- Conduct troubleshooting on the said servers as needed
- File Server Administration
Ensure provisioning of shared folders- Manage access of file servers
- Swift Alliance Administration
Provide production, maintenance and implementation support- Coordinate with the vendor for essential requirements
- Infrastructure Administration
Act as EMC/Storage, server, VMware, and exchange administrator
- Support and Troubleshooting
Perform troubleshooting as required- Manage day to day operations through systems performance monitoring, configuration, maintenance and repair
Provide afterhours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any IT-related course
At least 5 years experience in IT
Experience in management of the following:
VMWare - 7 or later
Active Directory
Exchange Servers
SharePoint
Veritas NetBackup
IBM Storwize / EMC Unity
Experience in the following Operating Systems:
Windows Server
CentOS, RHEL, Oracle Linux
IBM AIX
