- Data Strategy Development and Implementation:
Develop a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Identify and prioritize data initiatives that drive business value and competitive advantage.
Collaborate with business stakeholders across all departments to understand their data needs and challenges.- Define data ownership, roles, and responsibilities to ensure clear accountability for data assets.
- Data Governance Framework:
Design and implement a data governance framework that includes policies, procedures, and standards for data management.- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Develop and maintain data catalogs and metadata management practices.
- Oversee data access controls and user permissions to safeguard sensitive information.
Champion data quality initiatives to maintain consistent, accurate, and complete data across the organization.
- Implement data quality monitoring and measurement processes to identify and address data inconsistencies.
Establish data cleansing and correction procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Data Management and Technology:
Stay abreast of emerging data management technologies and best practices.- Evaluate and recommend data management tools and solutions to support the data strategy.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure efficient data infrastructure and storage solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports on data strategy and governance topics.
- Effectively communicate the importance of data governance and best practices to all levels of the organization.
Foster a data-driven culture by promoting data literacy and awareness across departments.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business units) to ensure effective data utilization.
- Solution Planning and Design:
Technical Manager - Data Governance works closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand the organization's goals and objectives. They then develop IT strategies and roadmaps that support these objectives, considering factors such as scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.- Collaborate with the IT Team in the design and development of end-to-end IT solutions, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and integration capabilities. Create detailed architectural plans that address both current and future business requirements.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization. Make recommendations for the adoption of new solutions that align with business needs and provide a competitive advantage.- Facilitate the canvassing of solutions in collaboration with the business users.
Evaluate and recommend technologies to meet business requirements.
Oversee data migration activities, ensuring the seamless transition of data between systems.
- Develop and implement data migration strategies and plans.
Collaborate with data teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy during migration.
Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define and implement data governance frameworks.
Monitor and report on data governance compliance.
- System Blueprints and Process Maps:
Create future state detailed system blueprints and documentation for architecture and design in collaboration with business users.
- Ensure that system blueprints align with enterprise architecture standards, in coordination with the Functional team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and update system blueprints as needed.
- Training Materials and User Manuals:
Consolidate all training materials for data professionals for knowledge management.- Conduct training sessions and workshops as needed.
Develop and implement change management processes and procedures.- Assess ACI's Data Maturity and collaborate with Management on how to move up the Aboitiz Maturity Model.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of changes and minimize disruptions to operations
- Lead and manage program changes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to assess the impact of changes on architecture.- Implement and communicate changes effectively across the organization.
- IT Audits and other internal or external audits:
Participate in audits, providing documentation and evidence as required.- Collaborate with audit teams to address and rectify identified issues.
Implement and monitor controls to ensure ongoing compliance with audit requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Master's degree is an advantage.
5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, and data governance.- Strong background in ERP data migration and data cleansing (SAP ECC experience is an advantage).
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies and governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data quality principles, data security best practices, and relevant regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of business processes (e.g., Order to cash, Source to Pay, Inventory Management, Project Management) in the construction / heavy industries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in developing training materials and user manuals.- Proficiency in creating documentation.
