Data Analyst / Data Scientist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst will make findings from data and surface insights that can help the organization make smart and strategic decisions. They will do so by asking the right questions to understand business problems, extracting data from multiple data sources, cleaning data to remove noise, and performing exploratory analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement

Create projections using regression analysis and other modeling techniques Structure data using SQL to help answer stakeholder questions

Assist in data prep to expose internal documents for use in AI systems

Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients

Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data

Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data

Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions

Structure large datasets to find usable information

Integrate new datasets into existing data warehouse

Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information

Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

2+ years experience or training in Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field

Demonstrable knowledge of data querying & analytics tools, processes & methodologies

2+ years experience with using SQL (preferably MySQL) to assemble and prepare data from multiple disparate sources

2+ years experience or training in business intelligence solutions like Domo, Power BI, or Tableau

Experience coding in Python and working with Python's scientific and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, etc) highly desirable

Experience using LLMs to interact with internal documents highly desirable

Ability to manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities while meeting deadlines

Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and professional communication skills

• EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
