Analytics Data Governance Team Data Analyst
As part of the Global Service Analytics team, this role is responsible for delivery of data analysis and data governance to support Cushman and Wakefield's global services analytics platform. The responsibilities
include data mapping, data assessments, data governance, POC dashboard development, user acceptance testing, reporting support, tabular model support, trend analysis, benchmarking analysis, and general product support for Cushman and Wakefield's Services Analytics platform.
Responsibilities:
Support the Data Governance Team on data analyst activities to support the global services analytics platform such as:
o Leading source-to-target data mapping activities to support system integration for new data sources including supporting the testing of the integration
o Utilizing advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx, Azure Databricks or Python to transform data, automate workflows and develop analytical tools.
o Supporting data quality initiatives by developing data quality metrics, identifying data gaps, or developing automated workflows and audits
o Performing data assessments of client data before onboarding onto the BI platform
o Performing data profiling and analysis of new data sets that require integration into the database
o Assessing impact of source system changes or non-standard data on the BI platform
o Analyzing and translating product business requirements into the necessary data requirements
o Reviewing DAX and common data model to ensure alignment with business requirements and standards.
o Working with the business and the global team to investigate and resolve data issues
o Creating SQL scripts for testing, validations, or investigating data issues
o Supporting ad hoc data loads
o User Acceptance Testing on data aspects during product releases
Support the Data Governance Lead on all data governance initiatives for the global services analytics platform such as:
o Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall data governance framework.
o Participate in the creation and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
o Develop and maintain metadata repositories, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of data assets.
o Collaborate with business units to capture and define metadata attributes, such as data lineage, definitions, and business rules.
o Implement metadata standards and ensure adherence across the platform
o Catalog and classify data assets to establish a comprehensive and organized data inventory.
o Collaborate with other data stewards and business units to identify critical data elements and their relationships.
o Maintain a centralized data catalog to facilitate easy discovery and understanding of available data resources.
o Establish clear communication channels with data owners to ensure data stewardship and quality maintenance.
o Working with the data governance committee on data quality initiatives
o Process mapping of policy rules, data quality escalations, and governance processes
o Ensuring data dictionary and business glossary are complete and up to date
o Tracking data quality metrics and working with data stewards to maintain data quality at highest levels.
o Measuring and tracking data maturity, and developing additional metrics and KPIs as needed for data governance
Other responsibilities may include:
o Drive continuous improvement in the automation and standardization of data requirements.
o Partner with the development team to expand C&W's BI product offering through dashboard POCs, tabular model measure development and product feature enhancements.
o Providing training of data governance tools to business users
o Work effectively with all areas of the business to identify required dashboard visualizations and associated calculations to build dashboards.
o Provide both verbal and written updates to management on the progress of work.
o Liase with service line leadership to extract data from point applications for uploading into the BI platform.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a degree with relevant disciplines such as information management, mathematics/statistics, business information systems.
Multiple years of experience in Data Governance or Data Quality or Data Compliance is preferred
Multiple years of experience in Data Analyst activities (data analysis, data mapping, data cleansing, data wrangling, data profiling, etc.) is preferred.
Knowledge in SQL Queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or intermediate understanding.
of SQL Server database is preferred
Experience or understanding of ETL framework and tools such as Azure Data Factory or Alteryx or Python is a plus.
Experience in business analytics or data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
Experience in process mapping, RACI or RAPID is preferred.
Experience working with commercial real estate data is a plus.
