Data Analyst

The Data Analyst (Warehouse) is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to help the organization make informed business decisions related to warehouse operations. This role involves data collection, data processing, and generating actionable insights to optimize warehouse efficiency, improve inventory management, and support overall supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Management:

Gather data from various sources including warehouse management systems, inventory databases, and other relevant platforms.

• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data validation and cleaning.

Data Analysis:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in warehouse operations.

Use statistical tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R) to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

• Create dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings to stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations through data analysis.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with warehouse managers and other departments to implement recommended changes.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity.

Document methodologies and maintain comprehensive records of analysis and findings.

Support Decision Making: Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

• Assist in the development of predictive models to forecast inventory needs and demand patterns.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Monitor and report on potential risks related to warehouse operations and inventory management.

Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse or supply chain environment.

• Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Certifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Analyst, Certified Supply Chain Professional) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• This role typically involves working in an office environment within the warehouse facility.

May require occasional visits to warehouse floors and other facilities.
