Position Summary
The Institute of Professional Studies seeks a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Faculty to deliver our Executive Diploma in Cybersecurity program. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience in the field, and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to working professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge, guiding students through hands-on exercises and labs.
Key Responsibilities
Course Delivery:
- Deliver engaging and effective cybersecurity courses, following a predefined curriculum.
- Conduct practical, hands-on exercises and labs to reinforce learning.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments and projects.
- Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven expertise in multiple cybersecurity domains, including network security, application security, cloud security, incident response, and digital forensics.
- Strong hands-on skills in various cybersecurity tools and techniques.
- Deep understanding of industry standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH).
Industry Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Teaching Experience:
- Prior experience in teaching or training cybersecurity professionals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching style to different learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience in developing and delivering online courses.
- A strong publication record in cybersecurity research.
