We are looking for an experienced
Customs Specialist who ensuring the company's import and export activities comply with all customs laws, regulations, and international trade agreements. He/She involves preparing and processing customs documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, and ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders, and assists the sales team by attending client meetings as required.
- Customs Documentation and Compliance
Prepare and process import and export documentation in accordance with customs regulations, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete to avoid delays or penalties.
Analyse and study all customs memos, orders, rules, and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Coordination with Authorities
Liaise with customs authorities to resolve any issues or queries related to import/export shipments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customs inspections and audits.

Represent clients to the Bureau of Customs and other related government agencies, as required.
- Service Provider Management
Ensure that brokerage vendors meet their KPIs and continuously improve service quality. Vendor selection will be managed by the procurement department.
- Customs Compliance Officer
Serve as the customs compliance officer of the company for both local and foreign inquiries.
- Serve as the point of contact for information and inquiries regarding customs and other related government agencies.
In charge of securing clearances from different government agencies for the company and customers as required.
- Tariff and Duty Management
Classify goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes.- Calculate and manage the payment of duties, taxes, and tariffs for imported and exported goods.
Seek opportunities to minimize duties and taxes through the use of preferential trade agreements, duty drawback programs, and other mechanisms.
Supervise all DDU/DDP shipments, managing the end-to-end process.
- Work closely with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure the timely and cost-effective transport of goods.
Track and trace shipments to ensure they clear customs and reach their destination as planned.- Address and resolve any logistics issues that arise during the customs clearance process.
Identify and assess risks related to customs compliance and develop strategies to mitigate them.- Conduct internal audits of customs documentation and processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings and regulatory changes.
- Customer and Vendor Relations
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams and clients on customs-related matters.
Represents clients to Bureau of Customs and other related government agencies, as required.- Assist the sales team by attending client meetings as required.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Suggest plans and programs that strive to improve the effectiveness of the Customs Clearance Section.

Good English skills, speaking, read and write.Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, Harmonized System (HS) codes, international trade agreements, and tariff classification.Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in using customs software and systems, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Education: bachelor's degree in international Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, or logisticsCertifications:
Professional certifications such as Licensed Customs or other relevant credentials are required. Willing to deploy in West Service Road Cupang, Muntinlupa City.
