Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly competent and experienced Fleet HR Manager to join Magsaysay Maritime Corporation. As the Fleet HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the fleet operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the recruitment, management, and welfare the seafarer, as well as compliance with maritime regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR Fleet management within the maritime industry and a deep understanding of crewing processes.
Oversees and ensures the proper communications to principals, agents, and other parties concerned are responded to and acted upon by the responsible fteet staff, within established and acceptable timeframes.
- Oversee the crewing operations, including recruitment, onboarding, embarkation, dispatch, training etc.
Develop and implement strategies to support the growth and development of our fleet operations and employees- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations
Provide leadership and guidance to the team to support the company's goals and objectives
- Provide regular reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management on crewing performance, HR metrics, and compliance.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation, HR, Psychology, Behavioural Science or any related field.
- At least 5 years of Fleet HR Manager / Crewing Manager with focus on maritime or shipping industries
Strong knowledge of crewing processes, maritime regulations, procedures, and best practices- Familiarity with STCW, MLC, and other relevant crewing regulations and industry standards.
Excellent understanding of crew management, recruitment, onboarding, and crew welfare practices.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with crew, internal teams, and external stakeholders.- Can adapt to a fast-paced environment, able to multitask simultaneously, goal oriented
Proficiency in MS Office applications and crew management software.
- Willing to work full time on site and travel as required.
With sea board experience preferably chief mate.
