The Role
As a Credit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust credit policies and practices that support our business objectives while mitigating financial risk. Your expertise in credit management will ensure the integrity of our financial operations and enhance the overall guest experience by enabling seamless and efficient credit transactions.
Key Areas of Responsibilities

- Credit Policy Development: Design, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive credit policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct in-depth credit evaluations and risk assessments for both individual guests and corporate accounts, utilizing analytical tools and market insights to determine creditworthiness.
- Credit Application Processing: Oversee the review and approval process for credit applications, ensuring adherence to established criteria and timely communication with applicants regarding credit decisions.
- Collections Strategy: Develop and execute proactive collections strategies to minimize overdue accounts while maintaining positive relationships with guests and corporate clients to foster loyalty and trust.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, reservations, and other departments to streamline credit processes, ensuring that team members have the necessary tools and information to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate detailed financial reports and dashboards that provide insights into credit performance metrics, trends, and potential areas for improvement, presenting findings to the executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Training and Development: Lead training initiatives for team members on credit management best practices and policies, fostering a culture of financial awareness and accountability within the organization.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies, conducting regular audits of credit processes to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications and Standards
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 5 years experience in credit management or financial analysis, with a proven track record in the hospitality or service industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in credit management software and financial reporting tools, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess credit risks and financial data effectively, providing actionable insights for management.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to address credit-related challenges proactively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of credit management.
