Credit Manager

About the position

• Manage the Credit, and Receivables function of the company.
• Working collaboratively with managers and leaders to improve debtor profile, reduce bad debt and maximise collections for all divisions and departments.
• Creating, managing and enforcing internal company credit policy.
• Creating and delivering monthly and annual cash collection targets, and DSO targets.
• Managing the end to end external legal collections process.
• Reconciliation of payments against credit ledger, bank and credit card accounts.
• Performing daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating and posting accounts receivable data
• Review and approval of credit applications for new clients or increases for existing clients
• Reconcilingthe accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and accurately posted
• Management and review of Accounts Receivable and Credit Management processes and procedures.
• Completion of the month-end and year-end processes, including analytics on the ledger and doubtful debt provisioning.
• Initiate, drive and deliver business improvement projects for the credit function.
• Accounts receivable and credit management reporting and analysis.
• Provideleadership, development, and management of direct reports.
• Training and Development of Leaders, Managers and other client facing employees.

Position Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate field and/or equivalent relevant work experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Credit Management and/or Accounts Receivable for a corporate organisation.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle various and multiple functions simultaneously, including the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of excel Spreadsheets to an advanced level
• Proficient in the use of NetSuite or similar accounting ERP.
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to manage varying stakeholder relationships to drive success.
