JOB DESCRIPTION:- Formulation Development: Creating and testing new formulations for cosmetics products, including skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrances.
- Ingredient Research: Researching and selecting suitable ingredients based on their properties, efficacy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Product Testing: Conducting stability tests, compatibility tests, and efficacy tests to ensure product safety, quality, and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring products comply with regulatory standards and guidelines set by relevant authorities, such as the FDA.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments.
- Innovation: Staying updated on emerging trends, technologies, and ingredients in the cosmetics industry to drive innovation and product improvement.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of formulation recipes, test results, and regulatory documentation.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshooting formulation issues and addressing customer feedback or complaints.
- Sustainability: Incorporating sustainable practices and ingredients into product development to minimize environmental impact.
- ContinuousLearning: Keeping abreast of scientific advancements and attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, or BS Pharmacy, Chemical Technology
- Proven experience in cosmetic formulation and product development, Laboratory work in Cosmetic Manufacturing.
Must be PRC Licensed (Chemist, Pharmacist, or Chem. Tech)- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetics, such as FDA regulations, EU regulations (e.g., REACH, Cosmetics Regulation), and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22716).
Proof and experience in any related cosmetic field (make up, skincare and the like)
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for formulation development, data analysis, and documentation.
Licensed Pharmacist, Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Engineer
