The Credit Officer performs credit evaluation and risk assessment of corporate borrowers and prepares comprehensive credit proposals that are in compliance with the Bank's credit policies and standards and within the prescribed turnaround time.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Credit Evaluation and Risk Analysis - Performs credit evaluation and risk analysis and prepares the credit proposal for assigned account which includes but not limited to the following:
1.1 Conducts client interviews/calls and coordinates with the Client Relationship Management counterpart on the proposed credit facility and loan package.
1.2 Performs financial analysis and projections based on the client's historical financial data, industry analysis, benchmarking, trade checking with client's suppliers and customers, and verification with depository bank and creditors.
1.3 Recommends credit risk rating for the account.
1.4 Prepares risk analysis and overall recommendation.
1.5 Presents credit proposal to the required approving committee or body following the tiered approving authority limits.
2. Credit Monitoring
2.1 Performs periodic review of assigned accounts and term loans as required by the Bank's approved credit policies and procedures.
2.2 Assists the client relationship management counterpart in loan monitoring in terms of compliance to loan covenants and detection of weaknesses and loan deterioration.
3. Client Engagement Conducts client visits, meetings and/or calls with the Client Relationship Management counterpart.
4. Remedial Management Assists the Client Relationship Management counterpart in the preparation of restructuring proposals and loan workout of assigned accounts.
