The Cooperative Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cooperative, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to members, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of strategic initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to manage diverse teams and foster a member-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cooperative, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and member satisfaction.- Monitor and evaluate the performance of various departments, including finance, marketing, member services, and administration.
Collaborate with BOD to develop and execute the cooperative's strategic plan.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Ensure alignment of operational activities with the cooperative's mission, vision, and values.- Manage the cooperative's budget and ensure financial sustainability.
Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Foster a member-centric culture and ensure high levels of member satisfaction.- Develop and implement member engagement strategies to increase participation and loyalty.
Address member concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and cooperative bylaws.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.- Oversee internal audits and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote cooperative services and attract new members.
- Oversee communication and public relations efforts to enhance the cooperative's image and reputation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably within a cooperative or financial institution.- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.- Knowledge of cooperative principles and practices.
