Roles & Responsibilities- Responsible for all formal correspondence on contractual issues including
ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and entitlement to Contract Variation.- Responsible for drafting and issuing of Variation Notices/Variation Requests
and negotiation of Variation Orders, ensuring timely delivery against contractual deadlines and maximum revenue recovery.- Checks that milestone completion notices and other documents required for payment meet contractual requirement.
Maintain an overall change order status register that is provided that is compiled from information provided by the Project.
- Oversee, track, and follow-up action items required to resolve issues with Projects.
Ensure alignment with the project and legal team on contract administration- Support projects on overall change management process.
Participate in Weekly and Monthly progress review meetings to advise on any issues of contract management and change management issues.
- Support legal team in the review of contract terms and conditions and commercial terms during tendering and post award as may be requested.
Ensure that contract terms and conditions are clearly understood by the project team, providing advice on flow-down requirements for procurement and subcontracting where required.- Oversee insurance coverage and any claims as may arise, liaise with insurance brokers/assessors as necessary.
Ensure that significant commercial risks are identified and suitably considered in the project cost and financial reports.
- Evaluates supplier/subcontractor claims entitlement and variation order under the contract requirements.
Comply with all compliance and corporate requirements and act in an open and honest manner.- Act in a respectful way with all internal and external stakeholders.
Travel to, and be temporary assigned to projects, as may be required to support Project.
- Undertake other duties that may be required to ensure work is completed and are within competency
Formal education in Law, Engineering or Contract Management is preferred
- At least ten (10) years experience in Project, Construction or Contracts Management
Understanding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects and industry- Good communication skills and strong drafting skills.
