Compliance Officer at My Offshore Team

About the Role: My Offshore Team is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the VP Operations, the Compliance Officer is pivotal in designing, maintaining, and overseeing all compliance activities related to our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Quality Management System (QMS). This role is crucial in fostering a culture of quality assurance and data security within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support department heads in implementing ISO standards with guidance from external consultants.
- Manage and maintain the company's ISO 27001 accreditation and ISMS.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure effective delivery and application of ISO standards.
- Develop an improvement plan to ensure the effectiveness of ISO application and maintenance.
- Ensure full implementation of all compliance processes.
- Conduct regular assessments and internal audits.
- Lead and facilitate external audits and assessments, ensuring all documentation and evidence are fully prepared.
- Ensure timely resolution of identified non-conformities and improvements from external audits.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure all staff members understand their roles in maintaining compliance with standards.
- Maintain the SharePoint environment and manage controlled documents.
- Support departments with process development and documentation writing.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Internal audits conducted on schedule.
- External audits prepared on schedule.
- Addressing OFIs and non-conformities on schedule.
Key Interfaces:
- Internal: COO, Department Managers, IT Manager and IT security team, All MOT staff.
- External: External CIO, ISO Consultants, ISO Certifiers and Auditors, Industry and ISO communities.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in implementing and/or managing ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
- Internal Audit experience. ISO internal auditor certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of quality management and information security best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
- Technical writing skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal English.
- SharePoint administration experience.
- Knowledge and experience in Project Management Methodology.
