Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to support our compliance program by conducting risk assessments, monitoring transactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance, risk management, and financial analysis. You will work closely with various departments to implement compliance measures and provide recommendations for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess compliance risks and controls implemented in various workstreams in Palawan Pay.
- Perform an annual risk assessment and conduct independent monitoring and testing activities to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls designed to monitor compliance-related, regulatory, and legal risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify areas of improvement.
- Monitor and analyze transactions for potential compliance issues.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Related Work Experience:
- 3-5 years of working experience in the areas of consulting or advisory services, internal audit, or compliance.
- Background in the financial services or FinTech industry.
Knowledge (knowledgeable in the following):
- General understanding of EMI or Bank regulatory compliance.
- Experience in reviewing policy/procedure documents.
- Consulting, advisory services, internal audit, or compliance review.
- Risk assessment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification.
- Experience in the financial technology industry.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
