Job Description- The Company Nurse is a vital member of the organization's healthcare team, responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to employees, fostering a safe and healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. This role involves a combination of clinical expertise, health promotion, and administrative support.
- Medical Care and Treatment:
Provide first aid, emergency care, and administer over-the-counter medications to employees for minor illnesses and injuries.- Assess and triage employee health concerns, making appropriate referrals to healthcare professionals as needed.
Conduct pre-employment and annual physical examinations, ensuring employees meet health requirements for their roles.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees, adhering to data privacy regulations.
- Health Promotion and Wellness:
Develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs that address common health concerns and promote healthy lifestyle choices among employees.
- Conduct health education workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
Organize health screenings and immunization programs to detect and prevent potential health risks.
- Occupational Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines.- Conduct regular workplace assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to employees on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and first aid.
- Employee Benefits Administration:
Assist employees with enrollment in and utilization of company-provided health benefits, including health insurance, HMO plans, and government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Coordinate and facilitate annual physical examinations and other preventive health screenings for employees.
Administer and track employee health insurance enrollments and claims, ensuring timely processing and reimbursement.- Maintain records of employee medical leaves and absences, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.
Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training is a plus.
At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in an occupational health setting or a similar environment.- Experience in conducting health assessments, providing first aid, and managing medical records.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
