At least 1 year work experience as Occupational Health Nurse/ Company Nurse.
Must be a registered nurse and BOSH certified is a plus.
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent observational skills.
Good knowledge in public safety and industrial health standards.
Responsible for the implementation and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services and OSH program in accordance with the health and safety standards and company policies.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer the Occupational Safety and Health Programs of the company on:
a. Health and Wellness
b. Drug-free Workplace
c. No Smoking
d. TB Prevention and Control
e. Hepatitis B
f. HIV/AIDS
g. Mental Health
- Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines.
- Facilitate validation of medical and fit to work certificates.
- Monitor employee/s with medical condition and on pro-longed sick leave. Conduct home visit as necessary.
- Manage all cases to facilitate productivity, assuring appropriate care and return to work.
- Assess healthcare needs and provide inputs regarding ergonomic improvements to improve health.
- Maintain OSHA records/reports and employees medical files.
- Monitor consumption and inventory of medicines to ensure adequate supplies. Facilitate replenishment request prior depletion of supplies.
- Raise healthcare awareness of employees and make lifestyle recommendations to improve their health. Conduct in-house health and safety trainings based on approved program.
- Prepare DOLE reportorial requirements such as Employer's Work Accident/Illness Report, Annual Medical Report, Workplace COVID-19 Prevention & Control Compliance Report, Report on Health & Safety Organization and OSH Program update report.
- Screen Health Declaration Form of employees and company visitors and provide regular report on compliance.
- Conduct routine temperature check and rounds to ensure compliance on standard health protocols being implemented.
- Maintain logbook for employees illness, use of lactation room for lactating employees and medicines or consumables consumption.
- Assist on the annual check-up activity of the company. Discuss results of those with significant findings and monitor compliance if it requires further consultation or laboratory examinations.
- Conduct regular inspection of the work area for hazards and observe working conditions.
- Other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
