Qualifications
- With valid driver's license
With proven experience as a Driver- Knowledgeable of areas around Metro Manila
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) His responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- a) Keep the vehicles assigned to his superior clean.
b) Maintain the vehicles assigned to his superior working properly at all times.- i) Perform daily basic checkup on the vehicle to be used (batteries, lights, oil, water, brakes, air, fuel, etc.).
ii) He should know how to read and operate the instrument panel and all the controls in the vehicle (air-condition, audio system, lights, etc.). He is also expected to know how the different mechanisms in the vehicle work (e.g., how change the seat configuration).
- iii) Inform immediately his superior any repairs or maintenance needed.
* iv) Bring and/or retrieve the vehicle to the car shop or contact a mechanic to service the vehicle upon instructions of his superior.
- c) Safeguard the vehicle currently being used at all times, especially when parked outside the company premises. He is not allowed to wait in the vehicle and use the air-conditioning unit, but he is expected to watch over it always. Anything lost belonging to or left inside the vehicle is his responsibility.
2) As an employee of the company, he should follow all the company policies and, as such, is subject to corresponding disciplinary measures in case of infractions on his part.
3) He is expected to be punctual, arriving at least 15 minutes before call time to prepare the vehicle.
4) He is expected to be courteous and respectful. He should greet his superiors nicely when reporting to work or being dismissed. He should answer clearly when given instructions.
5) He ought to keep a pleasant and presentable physical appearance and smell. He should be well groomed, clean-shaven and decently dressed. He should change his clothes before driving if they become soaked in perspiration or dirty from cleaning or repairing the vehicle. For this reason, also, he is not allowed to smoke while on duty.
6) He is expected to answer his superior's call immediately. He is not allowed to operate his cellphone while driving. Thus, it should be turned off or switched to silent mode.
7) He is not allowed to take naps or sleep during work hours.
8) As a driver assigned to a company executive, he should keep any information about his superior confidential. Further, as an employee of a company, he is discouraged from rumormongering or gossiping about and with other employees.
9) He should be aware and follow accordingly all the traffic rules and regulations, including those that are applicable to the particular time and place where he is driving (number coding, village speed limits, one-way roads, etc.)
10) He is to practice road courtesy and defensive driving all the time (using the signal lights every time he changes lanes, using the hazard lights every time he backs up, etc.).
11) Observe and maintain COVID-19 standard health protocols.
