Job Overview The Company Doctor is responsible for providing comprehensive medical services to employees within the organization. This role involves overseeing the health and well-being of the workforce, managing occupational health risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant health regulations. The Company Doctor works closely with HR and other departments to develop and implement health programs and provides medical advice on employee health issues.
Conduct medical surveillance and monitor employees exposure to occupational health hazards to promote health conservation.- Offer suitable medical treatment for any medical condition following a thorough evaluation.
Administer immediate or emergency care using the available resources within the workplace.
- Analyze and assess medical tests, lab findings, or workplace health risks to provide appropriate recommendations.
During medical emergencies, collaborate with the company's emergency team to evaluate the situation, provide immediate care, and refer employees to a certified medical facility if needed.- Ensure the maintenance of workers health by conducting physical examinations and providing medical care to injured employees.
- 2. Health and Wellness Services:
Act as an advisor to the company on health matters.- Implement strategies to prevent diseases or injuries in the workplace by ensuring appropriate medical oversight of the work environment.
Collaborate with the company's safety team to conduct quarterly or bi-annual workplace risk surveys and assessments.
- Design and conduct occupational health training, briefings, and orientation modules to educate employees on relevant occupational health issues.
Create and deliver health education tailored to employees medical conditions, facilitate enrollment in health programs, and provide health teachings during the distribution of onsite Annual Physical Examination (APE) results.
- 3. Administrative Services:
Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of a medical record management system.- Lead the preparation of the Annual Medical Report using form DOLE/BWC/OH 47 A, ensuring submission to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the company's authorized representative and/or the Environment, Safety, and Health Committee.
Initiate and evaluate clinic services and experiences.
- Monitor and manage clinic logistics, including the procurement of necessary supplies.
Conduct research to ensure corporate compliance with health regulations as outlined by DOLE and other local government agencies.
- Educations and Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine degree from a reputable institution, with specialization and training in General Medicine, Occupational Health, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.Licensure:
Currently registered and holding an active license from the Professional Regulation Commission.Experience: At least 1 (one) year of experience in a hospital, clinic, or industrial setting.
- Certifications: Additional certifications in occupational health or related fields are preferred.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of Philippine labor laws, occupational health and safety standards, and medical best practices.
