So what does a Community Manager really do Think of yourself as the one who will inspire the people reporting directly to you. You must have the experience of leading a team for a minimum of 3 years with at least a minimum of 4 direct reports. You will ensure that all direct reports are efficiently doing their individual roles set for them from receiving requests, booking, monitoring and executing the tasks.

The Community Manager must be capable of coaching to properly guide and set expectations towards tasks and goals. You will train your direct reports with their tasks and communicate job expectations and maintain standards and quality. You will monitor results of direct reports and ensure that they are culturally aligned and will live the core values at all times. The Community Manager for TL & OM must build relationships with other leaders, connect with them on a monthly touch base for communication and expectations to ensure that his/her LOB will run smoothly working whether this is for PH, SEA and assistance to other regions.

You will take ownership of end to end transactions of the transport, logistics and office management and have the capability to develop contingency plans for high risk travels. You must have a high level of accountability that you must share with the rest of the team and direct reports.


As a Community Manager, you will:

Line of Business (LOB) Management

  • Ensures that any transport, logistics and office management related matters are addressed and communicated well to leaders that are compliant with the company policies in terms of car/vehicle safety.

  • Anticipate internal and external scenarios that can affect the company in terms of deadlines and impact to business. Ready for Plan A, B and C when necessary. Must be able to bring people/transmittals to one place to another quickly but most importantly safely and comfortably as much as he/she can.

  • Anticipate changes on growth and expansion that are related to the company that can affect the Transport, Logistics and Office Management in terms of service and efficiency and delivery.

  • Make sure that the company vehicles are maintained on the prescribed schedule. Properly vets drivers and vendors for maximum standards for safety and compliance.

  • Conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies that is cost efficient and yet high quality service

  • Must be up to date on transportation trends, changes, advancements in PH. Must be knowledgeable on available shuttle/transport service in PH.

  • Must be able to vet vendors and keep relationships with them to ensure quality service and supplies are given to the company at all times and delivery.

Skills, Admin and Financial

  • Must know the procedures of transport vendors, logistics companies, and related industries to ensure quality but must know how to do it too. Searching for the best options and all the procedures in between without overspending. Knows how to properly set PMS for company vehicles, alignment and controlling of approved budgets.

  • Good relationship with vendors to get the best deal always for shuttle requests, heli requests and any other trip related matters.

  • Good relationship with internal and external people for his/her LOB.

  • Enforce policy and procedures of all concerned departments.

  • Improve programs and service quality by devising new applications, updating procedures, policies and evaluating results.

  • Determines safety for all vehicles and works hand in hand with the Safety and Security Director. Physically audit the skills of drivers and condition of vehicles. Check compliance stand points. Ability to develop and standardize minimum requirements of the vehicles on the road

  • Inventory management, resource management and has the ability to review all trips and determine if it needs adjustment based on knowledge of traffic controls in PH whether it's on air or the road.

Do you have what it takes to become a Community Manager

Requirements:

  • Capable of giving best judgment on escalations and emergency situations. Must be able to analyze situations quickly to make the best decision.

  • Must have a good understanding of the job/role and all elements related to it to see all angels in making decisions for the LOB.

  • High level of Emotional Intelligence and can keep up with changes and new directions. Quick on their feet and overall good decision maker.

  • Operates with excellent customer service to requestors while Doing More with Less.

  • Must be up to date on the current trends of the industry that can affect the internal process of the company apart from the general knowledge of the Transport and Logistics piece.

  • Must be knowledgeable on budget controls to ensure that each department is compliant with the allocated and approved budget for the year.

  • Must have experience in vendor management. Selection, vetting and accrediting working hand in hand with procurement.

  • Minimum 5 years Leadership Experience handling minimum of 4 direct reports. Handles multiple sites in PH.

  • Must have experience on Transport and Logistics

  • Extraordinary Problem Solving Skills, High level of emotional intelligence is a must.

  • Must have a high level of perseverance and passion.

  • Knowledgeable and must have background on logistics, transport and shuttle related matters

  • Graduate of a 4-year course preferably related to any of the LOB.

  • BPO, Corporate set up experience is an advantage.. Hospitality background is a plus.

  • Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and teammates.

  • Knowledge on GSuite applications is a plus factor.
