Specific Objectives

As a Community Ambassador Specialist, you will be responsible for fostering a vibrant and engaged community by managing ambassador programs and peer groups, ensuring members feel connected and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

Ambassador and Peer Group Host Recruitment:

  • Goal: Recruit influential and passionate community members as ambassadors or peer group hosts.
  • Expected Outcome: Increase ambassador numbers and engagement through targeted recruitment strategies and outreach efforts.

Ambassador Onboarding and Training:

  • Goal: Successfully onboard new ambassadors and peer group hosts by providing ongoing training. Create the agenda and when needed, host the monthly meetings.
  • Expected Outcome: Achieve 100% completion rate for ambassador onboarding sessions and training modules, ensuring ambassadors are well-prepared and aligned with community goals.

Engagement and Relationship Building:

  • Goal: Foster strong relationships with ambassadors and peer group hosts to enhance their engagement.
  • Expected Outcome: Increase engagement measured through participation in community initiatives, content creation, and event attendance.

Ambassador Program Development:

  • Goal: Develop and optimize the ambassador program structure and impact.
  • Expected Outcome: Implement at least two new program enhancements annually to improve ambassador satisfaction and effectiveness in advocacy efforts.

Peer Group Management:

  • Goal: Oversee the development and maintenance of peer groups within the community.
  • Expected Outcome: Ensure the creation and updating of automated lists for peer groups, including identifying and vetting peer group hosts, facilitating new member recruitment, and fostering peer group engagement.

Advocacy and Promotion:

  • Goal: Empower ambassadors to advocate for the community effectively.
  • Expected Outcome: Increase positive mentions and endorsements of the community by ambassadors on social media, such as LinkedIn.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Goal: Track and analyze ambassador program and peer groups metrics and impact.
  • Expected Outcome: Provide monthly reports with detailed insights on ambassador/peer group activities, engagement trends, and program effectiveness to senior management.

Key Metrics:

Metric: Ambassador and Peer Group Host Recruitment and Retention Rate

Description: Measure the number of new ambassadors and peer group hosts recruited and their retention over time.

Target: Increase the number of ambassadors and peer group hosts by 20% annually and maintain a retention rate of 85% or higher through targeted recruitment and engagement strategies.

Metric: Engagement and Participation Rate

Description: Track the participation levels of ambassadors and peer group hosts in community initiatives, content creation, and event attendance.

Target: Achieve a 25% increase in ambassador and peer group host participation over a quarter in community activities and events.

Metric: Program Enhancement Implementation

Description: Track the number and impact of new enhancements or improvements made to the ambassador program annually.

Target: Implement at least two new program enhancements each year, with a 90% positive feedback rate from ambassadors regarding these improvements.

Metric: Positive Mentions and Endorsements on Social Media

Description: Measure the number of positive mentions and endorsements of the community by ambassadors on social media platforms like LinkedIn.

Target: Increase positive social media mentions and endorsements by 30% over six months by empowering ambassadors with resources and support to advocate effectively for the community.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in community management, ambassador programs, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with online community platforms, particularly Slack.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and data analysis.
  • English speaker with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Passion for community building and advocacy.
