Could you be the full-time onsite Commodity Buyer in Naperville, IL, US we're looking for (Successful candidate may be located in any of our North Amercian cities where we have established operations/office presence. This is not a remote opportunity)
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive knowledge of commodities in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, resilient, and adaptable teammates. You'll contribute to our mission of cost optimization and operational excellence in commodities management. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Finance), manage specific supplier relationships and negotiations, and much more.
We'll look to you for:
Strategic management of commodity costs and optimization initiatives,
Ensuring project execution aligns with QCDT objectives,
Operational sourcing and negotiation across sites and businesses to create purchasing synergies,
Monitoring supplier performances and managing supplier relationships,
Generating and following up on monthly and quarterly saving plans,
Consolidating commodity needs and supporting commodity strategy development,
Driving cost savings through supplier challenges and alternative practice suggestions,
Supporting in the creation and enrichment of a cost reference library,
Participating in tender phases and representing commodities towards projects and platforms

Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field.,
Experience or understanding of commodity management or buyer experience in a manufacturing industry.,
Familiarity with supplier relationship management including negotiation, agreements, and performance monitoring.,
Strong transportation market knowledge (Prefer rail industry background but not mandatory).
Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership and the ability to convince.,
Strong written and verbal communication skills.,
Internal and external influencing skills.,
Negotiation skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and drive cost savings.,
Willingness to take initiative and contribute actively to continuous improvement efforts.
