QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in a similar role within a food production or commissary environment, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of food production processes, inventory management, and quality assurance practices.
Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, food science, business management, or a related field is preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Production Planning and Oversight:
Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet demand and fulfill orders.
Monitor food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control.
- Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to uphold food safety and freshness standards.
Conduct inspections and tastings to maintain product consistency.
- Staff Supervision and Training:
Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including chefs, cooks, and production assistants.
Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Logistics and Distribution:
Coordinate the distribution of products to various locations or clients.
Ensure timely delivery and efficient routing of orders.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety:
Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
Enforce safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Cost Management and Budgeting:
Monitor production costs and optimize processes to minimize waste and control expenses.
Collaborate with management to develop budgets and cost-saving strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and culinary teams to coordinate production schedules and product offerings.
Communicate with stakeholders to address concerns and optimize operations.
