Estimator position description:

Our commercial building company specializes in delivering high-quality fit-out solutions across South Australia. We are committed to precision, efficiency, and client satisfaction. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Estimator to join our team.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Estimator who can work independently and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for small to medium commercial fit-out projects, with a focus on cost-effective and high-quality material sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Take-offs:

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications, focusing on partitions, ceilings, aluminum works, door and window schedules, hardware, and sundries.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs to identify all materials and components required for each project.

Cost Breakdown and Sourcing:

• Provide comprehensive material cost breakdowns, ensuring accuracy in calculations.
• Research and source the best material prices within South Australia, maintaining a balance between quality and cost-efficiency.

Labor Estimation:

Estimate labor hours required for each project based on scope, complexity, and timelines.

Quotation Preparation:

• Develop and draft professional quotes for submission to clients, clearly outlining material and labor costs.
• Ensure quotations align with company standards and accurately reflect project requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in estimating within the commercial construction or fit-out industry.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Familiarity with local suppliers and market rates in South Australia.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Proficiency in estimation software and/or Excel.
