Position Summary: Under direct supervision, support set-up and operate Computer Numerical Control Machine in machining non-complex products
.- Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Support to Machinist 2 up to Journeyman machinist / PIC in setting up complex and non-complex products to lessen non-productive time and meet the set up standard time and machine utilization.
- Operate CNC in machining complex and non-complex products using engineering drawing, set-up sheet and self-inspection sheet to have quality output.
- Perform self-inspection on machined parts/products according to engineering drawing specification using measuring instruments such as Caliper, Micrometer, Drop Gauge, etc. to provide good quality products, and meet FI rejection rate.
- Train/Assist machinist using standard machine shop procedures and work instruction to improve their skills, productivity and machine utilization
- Perform on line deburring of product base on drawing requirement to improve lead time using deburring tools
- Escalate any quality and safety issue to PIC/Journeyman/Supervisor to immediately implement corrective and preventive action to avoid re-occurrence.
- Determine and correct minor machine malfunctions to avoid major machine trouble.
- Check the machine daily using machine startup checklist and other work start-up inspection standards and report any abnormalities to superior.
- Actively Participate/cooperate with PIC/Journeyman and Supervisor in formulating new rules and procedures to improve Production effectiveness to support management direction goals and objectives.
- Maintain a level of performance as required by his position level.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned from time to time.

- Education: Vocational course graduate preferably Mechanical Technology.
Experience:
Two years experienced in machine shop operating CNC machines.Skills/Technical Requirements:
Good written and oral communication skills; ability to read and interpret blueprints; working knowledge of shop mathematics; experience with precision measuring tools. With working knowledge of manual CNC programming gained from work experience.- Physical Demands/Strengths:
Ability to lift 25 pounds, ability to push, pulls, lift, climb, stand, walk and stoop.
- Job Conditions: Constant noise.
- Protective Devices Required: Goggles, Safety Shoes, Face mask and Ear plug.
In Required Area: Respiratory Half Mask and Cover-All.
