About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Product Support team, you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
Your Role:
This role is responsible for Cloud engineering design and implementation to support a suite of vendor application platforms hosted by Citco, according to best practices for security, cost management and Site Reliability Engineering. As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will implement and maintain automated IaaS and PaaS provisioning, and pipeline automations to deliver world-class Cloud Operations.
This position reports to the Vendor Applications Cloud Engineering (VACE) lead. The successful candidate will work closely with other Vendor Application Support team members, business analysts, technical groups and customers. VACE are a Cloud Engineering center of excellence situated within a wider Vendor Applications group, and are a strategic resource for the success of the wider function.
Solutions design and delivery of Citco-hosted vendor products to AWS
Cloud Formation, pipeline automation and delivery as per the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Implementation and maintenance in areas of DevOps, IaC, HA/DR, Tagging, Cost Controls, Monitoring and Incident Response, Backup, Storage, Image Management, Patching
Performance monitoring, sizing and optimizing of AWS infrastructure
Ensure solutions are adequately documented and supportable, and delivered per Well-Architected Framework
Ensure 24/7 highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business customers for various vendor product environments
Provision of support and assistance to Vendor Applications products leads and customers
This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
About You:
Experience or knowledge in delivering AWS hosting solutions using CloudFormation
Scripting experience e.g., Unix/Linux including shell scripting, Python
Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and ability to prioritize on the fly
Analysis Skills:
Possesses keen troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
Assists in disaster recovery planning, testing and execution as needed
Other skills of interest:
AWS Certification will be a big plus.
Knowledge on RDBMS e.g., SQL and PL/SQL.
Knowledge on Operating system such as Windows and Linux
Good knowledge of software programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, HTML, CSS etc.
Personal and educational characteristics:
Academic qualification in Computer Science or related discipline
Excellent communicator, self-motivated, ability to learn quickly
