In this dynamic role, you'll prepare and draft high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, models, and designs that serve as the backbone of essential civil infrastructure projects. Collaborating closely with engineers, you'll establish design frameworks and tackle complex design requirements for projects spanning roads, stormwater systems, and water and sewer reticulation.

Shift: Day Shift, Mon - Fri 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM (fixed weekends off)

Key Responsibilities: Paving the Way in Civil Infrastructure

• Prepare and draft drawings, models, and designs in 2D and 3D formats to support civil infrastructure projects.
  
• Collaborate with engineers to establish design frameworks and determine site servicing requirements.
  
• Produce designs and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, policies, and standards.
  
• Design civil infrastructure with a focus on roads, stormwater systems, water, and sewer networks.
  
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation, including transmittals and model filing, to ensure organized and compliant designs.
  
• Ensure continual improvement by staying current with civil design practices, CAD, and modeling technologies through ongoing training.
  
• Solve design challenges creatively to meet project outcomes on time.
  
• Drafting-Specific Responsibilities:
  
• Utilize Civil Site Design and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D to create accurate 2D and 3D civil models.
  
• Establish design standards and ensure consistency across all drawings and models.
  
• Manage electronic reporting and maintain accurate filing systems for design documentation, enabling easy retrieval and compliance.
  
• Collaborate with project engineers to clarify design requirements and update designs based on feedback.
  
• Maintain an organized workflow and rhythm for repetitive design tasks, ensuring precision and efficiency.
  
• Coordinate and manage multiple tasks, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
  

Requirements

Built to Last: Skills That Stand the Test of Time

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in civil 3D modeling and design within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
  
• Must have experience using Civil 3D software.
  
• Proficiency in civil design software, including Civil Site Design, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other related tools.
  
• Strong coordination skills to work effectively with staff and project team members.
  
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while working autonomously.
  
• Proactive approach to continual learning and development, staying updated with advancements in CAD and civil design technologies.
  
• Creative problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimize project outcomes.
  
• Strong team-oriented work ethic, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various functional groups and offices.
