The Network Engineer leads complex projects involving the level 2 technical support of ACI, Datacenter technology solutions with a focus on but not limited to network stability, scalability, and compliance. The Network Engineer responsibilities are to plan, configure, implement, and document solutions in a complex environment to support new and existing technology architectures. Makes decisions independently on Information Systems solutions, problems and methods. The knowledge and expertise required at this level of work usually results from progressive work experience in large enterprise or retail environments.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT:
Extensive knowledge of the following: -
- Extensive hands on knowledge of Multi-Pod and Multi-Site ACI design, implementation, and support, Tenant constructs, Application network profiles, Contracts, Fabric access policies, L3 extensions & Routing and L3 policies
- Application migration to ACI fabric Working knowledge is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Citrix and F5 load Balancer products.
- Will provide level 2 support as the final point of escalation and run with issues until the point of resolution.
- Supporting in rotation shifts plus 24/7 On Call support when needed Qualifications:
- Troubleshooting traffic flows via underlay and overlay
- Strong Documentation skills
Working knowledge of the following:
- Multi-vendor routing and switching experience
- Cisco IOS & NXOS implementation Experience.
- Working knowledge of SDx & MPLS
- Network infrastructure incident day 2 response
- Network infrastructure security incident response
- Packet capture, analysis and troubleshooting tools
- Network Management and monitoring tools such as CA Spectrum, SNOW, PRTG etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/CE, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- At least 4-6 years of Experience in the relevant industry in total.
- 6 years of experience in an IT operations environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development
- 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience working across multiple domains, platforms, or specialty areas in ACI, and auxiliary DC technologies.
- 4 years of experience leading projects with or without direct reports
- 4 years of experience working in a large support 24/7 operations organization
