The Regulatory Operations Expert will perform key functions that support and control the business in meeting the Bank's regulatory reporting requirement; the key focus will be key APAC regulators such as HKMA (Hong Kong), MAS (Singapore), ASIC (Australia) across all asset classes like rates, credit, FX and equities.

Your key responsibilities
- External engagement and face off with DB's Regulators in APAC including but not limited to MAS, ASIC and HKMA
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) jurisdictional lead and point of contact for MAS/ASIC transaction, valuation, and collateral reporting. The role involves stakeholder management with Singapore/Australia Compliance and Head of Australia Operations, handling NPA, ASIC 3B reporting and other queries from the regulator (ASIC) and the business. The resource will be also be the lead representative from APAC Reg ops on any MAS/ASIC related projects i.e commodities roll-out for ASIC
- Co-ordination and management of the query through its lifecycle from initial receipt of the query through to final submission/review calls with the Regulator
- As part of the global support model management of non-APAC queries that require a follow the sun model
- Collaboration with multiple functions across the Bank (including product lines within Operations, DCRO, Compliance & Technology) to ensure that DB's response to the Regulator is timely and accurate
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships (including Senior Management) across the organisation
- Ensure that progress is monitored; risks, issues and dependencies are escalated; findings are made transparent
- Preparation of Management Information to provide required levels of transparency around outstanding queries, response turnaround time and key themes from findings
- Support the Head of RRG by producing clear and accurate power point presentations
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related courses with prior experience from financial services and advance knowledge in different asset classes like rates, credit, FX and equities; Control and Regulatory oversight experience is beneficial.
- Exposure to Derivatives Middle Office function or equivalent, preferably with experience in business analysis and strong risk & control background;
- Ability to work under pressure, understand complex business specifications as well as data requirements and able to work on tight deadlines whilst managing stakeholder expectations;
- Exposed to work in virtual teams and matrixed organization regionally and globally; effectively maintain, coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong leadership and effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to work in a fast-pace environment
