Job Description:
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the resort's physical infrastructure, ensuring optimal functionality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Management: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the resort's facilities, including 16 villas, 75 rooms, employee housing, laundry, kitchens, F&B outlets, event facilities, and recreation areas (pools, gym, spa, and paddle courts).
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain the resort's critical infrastructure, including water treatment (desalination, STP, reverse osmosis), power house, generators, AVR, laundry, kitchens, and ACU.
- Landscape: Oversee the natural farm and landscape maintenance.
- Fleet Management: Manage the resort's sea and land fleet.
- Safety and Security: Develop and implement comprehensive fire, life safety, and disaster management plans. Oversee the fire truck, firefighting equipment, and first response team.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing facilities management team.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities management budget.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities management at a self-sustainable resort on an island or a cruise ship, preferably within a luxury setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure, including water treatment and power generation.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Must be enthusiastic to be part of a pre-opening team
- Willing to relocate to Coron, Palawan.
