Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Chief Accountant at Pocofino. As the Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business. This includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The role also involves collaborating with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial operations. Please note that this is an on-site role located in Mandaluyong.
- Prepare and maintain important financial reports.
- Monitor the preparation of tax returns, and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time.
- Evaluate financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues, strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
- Review, analyze, improve, and document all accounting processes and procedures and ensure compliance with Company guidelines.
- Direct, coordinate, prioritize, and review works performed by accounting staff and staff from other departments.
- Monitor monthly payables and receivables, sales and disbursements.
- Perform various account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with internal and external parties to support the month-end closing processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- At least a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
