We are seeking a hardworking and passionate chef to join our team. This dynamic role involves two key responsibilities: executing our cafe menu during open hours, and development (R&D) for products to be sold beyond the cafe. The ideal candidate is a creative food enthusiast with a knack for food development and a passion for innovation.
Food items to be developed consist mostly of pastries, coffee drinks, and home ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cafe Operations (50%):
- Prepare and execute recipes for the cafe during open hours
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience.
- Research and Development / R&D (50%):
- Develop and refine recipes for freshly made food + long shelf life products
- Manage quality assessment sessions and recipe revisions
- R&D food processing for food service and/or scaling production
- Innovate and create new food products that align with market trends and customer preferences.
- Document recipes, processes, and findings meticulously for future reference and production scaling.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have experience working in a kitchen
- Strong attention to detail in refining taste, quality, and presentation.
- A knack for food product development and a creative mindset for experimenting with new food concepts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Good time management skills to handle tasks in a flexible schedule.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
