Job Summary:
As a CCTV (closed-circuit television) Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining various types of CCTV systems. You will conduct surveillance system assessments and consultations, design and install CCTV systems, provide technical support, identify and troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance checks.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site assessments and consultations to determine customer needs and recommend appropriate CCTV system designs and equipment
- Design, configure and install CCTV systems utilizing appropriate equipment and software
- Provide technical support and training to end-users
- Maintain and repair existing CCTV systems, including diagnosing and resolving issues with equipment, software, and connectivity
- Monitor and analyze systems performance, including compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Keep accurate records of work activities and perform regular maintenance such as system updates, backups, and replacements
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide fast and effective solutions to technical issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CCTV technician, security systems technician or related field
- Excellent knowledge of CCTV systems, security protocols, and hardware (IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs, etc.)
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform installation, maintenance, and repair works (e.g. climbing ladders or operating hand tools)
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, or after hours when required
- Valid driving license
