Key Accountabilities:
Collection, consolidation and translation of
business, leadership and functional needs in the
context of category management and SRM (e.g.
goals and objectives, focus areas, strategic topics,
innovation and risk factors)
Central representation of the global category
management team and category management as
subject matter before leadership, across P+
functions incl. the broader GPO team and acting
as a counterpart to client's category governance
function (SPOC role)
Development, content creation and
orchestration of all central category
management and innovation & control
meetings and comms channels (e.g. Category
pillar call, uniting the leads, global category
council)
Steering, orchestration and standardization of
category planning activity and governance of
the deliverables, i.e. provision of templates and
data, establishment of uniform approach to
planning and documentation, alignment, formal
communication and distribution, change
management and adoption
Identification and definition of process
improvements within category management and
across the whole value chain (e.g. approval flows
and escalations, ways of collaborating and
communicating, project planning, preferred
suppliers and SRM programs etc.)
Identification and definition of organization /
operating model improvements within category
management and across auxiliary functions (e.g.
distribution of resources and skill, geographical
capacities, reporting line and team structure
optimization, roles and responsibility fine tuning,
etc.)
Identification of technological improvements as
well as support with technical roll-outs,
configuration, enablement, adoption and
optimization of tools and digital processes (e.g.
SynOps Workflow, Ignite Spend Platform, various
dashboard solutions, general data availability and
accuracy, etc.)
POC and support for account wide initiatives
that involve category management, SRM or a
related delivery function (e.g. superlative career
experience, supervisory org and job family clean
ups, budgeting, transformation planning, SI&S
topics, etc.)
Continuous support to leadership and Category
Directors with escalations, adHoc topics and
urgent queries, hiring, backfills and capacity
planning
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of savings methodologies,
buying channels and sourcing, contracting best
practices
- Proven ability to work creatively, analytically and
drive problem-solving with difficult stakeholders
- Proven success in contributing to a teamoriented, virtual, diverse, multi-cultural
environment
- Excellent communication and soft skills; proven
ability to work with and manage senior
stakeholders
- Project and program management skills and
Experience Is Preferred
- Team management experience and proven
people development skills is an advantage
- Good MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills is a

- Relevant project management or transformation
Experience
