The
Fashion Buyers role generally covers the following merchandising processes, but is not limited to:
- Looking for, processing for accreditation and building reliable and capable supplier/ vendor network,
Curating and sourcing the right selection of merchandise, that is right for our target market- Preparing of Outright Supplier Contracts, Purchase Orders
Negotiating and buying fashion merchandise at the right price, best terms, conditions and service level agreements, such as delivery at the right time
- Planning for, and managing arrivals of in-trend and in-demand merchandise,
Monitoring inventory, analyzing inventory turns, scheduling proper and timely replenishment of merchandise to avoid stock-outs, and planning for push-outs to avoid aged merchandise- Analyzing sales, sell-through and general movement of merchandise at the store-level
Providing guidance to stores on proper display and visual merchandising
- Monitoring of correct pricing, completeness and correctness of merchandise tags, and maintaining healthy gross margins
Planning for promotion, seasonal sale events, brand sales, and the like etc.
- Graduate of any 4 year(s) Business Course, Marketing, Accountancy, Computer Studies, Advertising/Media, Engineering, Fashion/Textile Design, or equivalent.
With at least 2 years solid background on fashion forecasting, sourcing, negotiation, buying, coordination with suppliers, conducting field buying (local and foreign buying trips)Experienced in Buying Men's Bags, Men's Accessories, Men's Accessories & Boys Teens Wear
Familiar with department store merchandise categories
- Should have competent understanding of merchandising fundamentals
Detail oriented, analytical thinking,self - driven, and creative.- Willing to do field work for local and foreign buying.
