Cashiers are designated to process transaction on the POS (Point-of-Sale) units of the stores. They are responsible for the speed in the purchases of customers and in securing all payments made by customers in the counter.
Cashiers are selected from the most senior and trustworthy regular sales clerk. They are required to undergo the following training:
- Computer literacy and RPRO/LS training
Job Function Training
They are required to pass the exams conducted at the end of each training taken after which they shall undergo a six-month trainee period wherein they will be evaluated on the 3rd and 5th month.
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that POS is functional and in working condition.- Recounts POS change fund.
Enters daily transactions in the POS.
- Ensures adequate availability of loose bills and coins.
Performs opening cashiering procedures.- Secures cash, credit card and gift certificates
Follow strictly the 7-steps of cashiering
- Accomplish DSSR (daily sales summary report)
Promotes on-going tie-ups and promotion- Issues manual invoice when necessary.
Monitors Barcode Monitoring Form
- Secures manual invoice booklet in use.
Maintains adequate supply of all materials and forms needed in the cash wrap counter.- Ensures that the store's first aid kit is adequately stocked.
Monitors telephone logbook
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the cash wrap counter.
Secures security tags and pins retrieved from purchased merchandise.- Follows customer service procedures in cashiering.
Assists and monitors in the replenishment of impulse items in the selling area.
- Prepares daily cash sales deposit
Opens store in the absence of the Branch Supervisor and Inventory assistant.- Answers incoming telephone call
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, any related courses, With experience in processing or transacting thru POS (Point-of-Sale)
- Experience in Cashiering is required
Inclined in Sports is an advantage
