Job Title: Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) SpecialistThe CCU Specialist will lead the project development and implementation of Carbon Capture and Utilization projects across various locations within Aboitiz Power. This role is responsible for the technical and organizational development, ensuring the delivery of a technically sound, economically feasible, and risk-balanced carbon capture project from pre-FEED development to the final investment decision (FID) and execution phase.
Coordinate and lead studies related to the planning, development, and implementation of CCUS projects.- Conduct technical reviews and qualifications of CO2 capture and sequestration technologies.
Develop and support the company's CO2 capture and sequestration strategy/roadmap.
- Provide management with updates on trends, technologies, and new developments in the CCUS industry.
Lead the systematic technical development of CCU projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to design and implement carbon capture solutions that align with sustainability objectives.
Manage technical discussions with third parties (clients, suppliers, regulators) to facilitate decision-making and resolve project issues.
- Prepare and deliver planning and progress reports to management and external presentations as required.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and research institutions, to foster strategic partnerships.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Chemical).
More than 8 years in the oil & gas or power sector, preferably in carbon capture solutions.- At least 3 years of leadership experience.
At least 3 years of project experience in carbon capture and utilization.
Strong understanding of carbon capture systems and technology.
- Excellent project management skills.
Knowledge of policy/regulatory frameworks related to CCUS.- Proficiency in communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Familiarity with industrial processes, engineering standards, and equipment used in carbon capture installations.
Professional Individual Certification in Project Management is preferred but not required.
