The Camp Boss/Camp Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a camp, overseeing staff and managing resources to ensurethe camp runs efficiently. To ensure the camp meets health and safety standards, coordinate activities, and manage and monitor the camp budget.
Ideal candidates preferred would be Goans or South Indians.
Salary Range: Upto 70,000 per month + Food and Accommodation provided
Job Location: So Tom and Prncipe, West Africa (Candidate should be willing to relocate)
Experience: 8+ years in this role, necessarily with supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
Organising and supervising staff behavior on-site.
Ensuring safety regulations are met through training, inspection, and drills.
Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the daily operations.
Ordering and managing supplies and materials.
Maintaining accurate records of inventory and orders and preparing timely reports.
Liaising with external vendors and contractors.
Liaise with government authorities, labor bodies, and other team members to ensure employees are aligned with the requirements of the said region.
Manage inventory of food supplies, cleaning materials, and other essential items.
Address safety concerns and incidents promptly.
Ensure cleanliness, and hygiene at the living and working sites.
Facilitate recreational activities and other services to enhance staff satisfaction.
Evaluate safety standards in real life and provide updated instruction on safety and operational procedures to employees, to perform activities under company policies.
Perform administrative duties to maintain accurate records of staff and assigned projects.
Take proactive measures to prevent and address verbal and physical abuse.
Interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with the Head office management as and when required.
Requirements
Minimum a bachelor's degree is required.
Must have a Valid passport with at least 1 year of validity.
Certifications in food safety, first aid, and health and safety management are advantageous.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is essential.
Good communication skills, speaking English & Hindi to influence and drive discipline in the teams. Foreign languages like Portuguese/ French are an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and in remote locations, high level of integrity and professionalism, problem-solving and decision-making skills, adaptability, and flexibility to meet the needs of the camp.
